Classic Mexican dishes and margaritas. In 1999, Christy joined the family legacy, bringing her own vision to Casa Vega while honoring her father’s foundation. Over the years, she modernized the restaurant, introducing innovations like outdoor dining and online ordering, especially during the pandemic. Yet, Christy stayed true to the traditions that made Casa Vega iconic—its timeless recipes, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to community. In 2022, under Christy’s leadership, Casa Vega received a James Beard Award as America’s Classic.  Now celebrating nearly 70 years of service, Casa Vega stands as a testament to the Vega family’s passion and resilience. From its humble beginnings to its recognition as a James Beard America’s Classics Award winner, Casa Vega continues to bridge generations, preserving the rich flavors and spirit of Mexican culture for all who walk through its doors.
